Victory!!
I really wish I would have kept a running log of my interaction with a website called citysearch! I know that my time with them is not done but tonight I am basking in quite a victory! For a not so short summary.....
I found that my store Bless Your Heart was listed on the website a few years ago I reviewed my store clearly saying it is fabulous only to find out that my name appears under the review. Lame I know but what can you do. In hopes of removing it I used a few other e-mails to review the store but, oh well if you every want to see what I think of my store you should go see what the citysearch member named racheldranselka thinks. Well as that may seem funny my interaction has turned sour!
We had a disgruntled customer and she left us a review. At first I thought it was no big deal because as hard as we try you can't please everyone so I put it out of my head. Well I returned to show my sister and 6 more nasty reviews showed up. I am not saying my sister and I are perfect but, really 6 in a matter of 3 days. Also with each review the person reviewing us only reviewed us. With each review it became more obvious that this person had never even been to our store, this I guess teaches us how to handle our policy at shows. They made statements and accusations that were clearly untrue; based on knowing how the store is run and on simple matters such as how they look. Well the final straw was this week when our "friend" the angry customer called us racist! This was too far we had already contacted citysearch to have us removed which they won't do, however they did say they would remove any comments that involved race, and true to their word they removed the comment!!!
I think that sites like these can be helpful, however San Antonio does not use this so for a majority of the sites if they had a review it was often less than positive. It is also too easy to become a reviewe (yes I made that word up). Each time I would stop by the site I would create a new persona with completely invalid email addresses! For example I am iamnotarealperson@hotmail.com and nopenotaperson@gmail.com; with these I was able to review my store and others. It seems that the site wants to hold other business accountable but as a business they have no accountability!
It can't go without saying how great our friends have responded to this. We have two lawyers completely willing to go after this for us. Also, my sisters' mother in law has a friend who is apparently a googleing genius and she has tracked down a person who if not the customer is a closely linked associate of our "customer." Too funny...although I must admit that I want to prank call her or tp her house. With the circumstances it only seems appropriate!
I guess I have rambled long enough, but for my time with citysearch I don't think I am done. We shall see....I think cityserchacceptsfakeemailaddress@sbcglobal.net needs to have her opinion count!

The challenge of joy!
Last Saturday I threw (along with 5 other fabulous hostesses) a fabulous baby shower for my sister. It is the 2nd shower I have given her. The first was for her wedding. Once the baby arrives I will have been to 10 showers for her. Also, on Saturday I received 2 more baby shower invitations. Wow, I love the girls who the showers are for; I will love the babies they have after these gifting opportunities; however there is still a struggle for me. The struggle is joy verses the easier option - bitterness. I love all my friends and the families they are creating but, after all the parties and time you spend celebrating their decisions there is always the side of me that says "what about me?" Oh well, I guess that is enough feeling sorry for myself. I must be thankful that I am not half as desperate as those girls on the Bachelor tonight! - Good TV! Also, I am going to try to be better at including pictures - Enjoy!
The food...my spinach artichoke dip was quite a hit!
Man that is a lot of Pink!!
We hung baby Lily's underwear as a shout out to Katy's Batchlorette Party where we hung hers!
My cousin Susan had a St. Louis Cardinal Jersy Mongramed for Lily Belle!

Girl Music!
I am currently listening to the Weepies - great music. It says what I think, better than I can same with many whiny girl groups/artists. Alanis, Jewel (old Jewel - not weird sexy Jewel), Tori Amos, I could go on but I think my point is made. I don't think there is a boy equivalent, because even when Boys go all emo I still can connect and relate. It isn't something they get to own very unlike the ridiculousness that I relate to with my girls.

Good Dinner
It is so fun how you have people in your life for a short time but they have a great impact. That is my friend Laurie. She is fun and bubbly and on a facebook quiz we ended up as twins. So of course that means we are the same. Tonight we had dinner at La Hacienda de los Barios - We both had the guacamole puffy tacos and fruity margaritas!!! Yummy. But beyond the food it was so fun to talk to her, find out what she been up to. She has an entrepreneurial spirit (she wants to have a cupcake business) she loves to laugh and she can make me laugh, and we are equally goofy around boys (she has more skill in getting to the ring stage than me but whatever!). I thought it was worth recording - goodnight.
